Dr. Sandeep Inchanalkar, Born on 7th may 1978 , in a village called “Bahirewadi” in the vicinity of Kolhapur. Dr. Sandeep’s parents realized his academic talents at an earlier age, so they decided to shift him to Mumbai for further education. Those were the days of struggle, as Dr. Sandeep’s father was the only earning member working as a government officer. Despite those challenges, Dr. Sandeep did basic schooling from military school, got scholarship and took admission in a good college. Through the merit he has secured a MBBS seat in MGM medical college, and came out with flying colors. Secured distinction every year. Biochemistry distinction in first year, Microbiology in second year, and ENT, Ophthalmology in final year. But he started developing special interest in surgery, and started preparing for the common entrance.
Dr. Sandeep was lucky to crack the exam in first attempt and got into M.S. General Surgery at VM medical college Solapur. Did lot of work in general surgery in those three years, he stood second in the university in the exams. Then developed liking for Neurosurgery, again he was lucky to crack the entrance for super specialty and took Neurosurgery in Bombay hospital under guidance of Dr. K E Turel.
Now practising in Kolhapur for the last 8 years in the field of neurosurgery, worked in almost all the hospitals in Kolhapur and started neurosurgery departments in all the big hospitals of Kolhapur. I am the first neurosurgeon to do more than 5000 operations in a short span, and experience of doing almost all the latest Brain and Spine operations at an early age. He started Aneurysm treatment by both approaches ( coiling and clipping) in Kolhapur, and Awake craniotomy for the first time in the history of Kolhapur. Removed biggest Brain Tumor in D Y patil hospital Kolhapur.
Dr. Sandeep Inchanalkar have done lot of charitable work in Walawalkar hospital, D Y Patil hospital, Siddhagiri Hospital in these years First time in the history of Kolhapur neurosurgery , as a organising secretary arranged a successful state neurosurgery conference in Kolhapur.
